Alice in Wonderland Quote Print: John Tenniel Illustration, Kings Messenger

Discover a captivating piece of literary art with this Alice in Wonderland print, featuring a classic black and white illustration from Lewis Carroll's beloved story. Depicting the King's Messenger in a moment of imprisonment, this artwork includes the nostalgic quote, "There’s the King’s Messenger. He’s in prison now, being punished..." that adds a touch of whimsical storytelling to your space. Based on my carefully recreated copy of John Tenniel’s original illustration for "Through the Looking-Glass," this piece celebrates the timeless charm of Victorian-era artistry.

What sets this print apart is the choice of high-quality, authentic materials that evoke the atmosphere of the original illustrations. Unlike typical digital prints that often use synthetic paper, I selected Mi-Teintes® paper—manufactured by the esteemed French company Canson®, a leader in fine art supplies. This special cardboard lends a textured, handcrafted feel to the artwork, making each print a unique and tactile homage to the original. The meticulous re-drawing process ensures that this piece is not simply a scanned reproduction, but a carefully crafted reinterpretation with undeniable artistic integrity.

Perfect for framing and display in a nursery, library, or art collection, this Alice in Wonderland print is a wonderful gift for literature lovers and vintage art enthusiasts alike. Whether you're adding to your collection of literary art or searching for a unique gift for a fellow Alice enthusiast, this authentic printed illustration combines handcrafted quality with timeless storytelling. Bring a piece of Wonderland into your home and celebrate the magic of imagination with this exquisite piece of wall art.
